Coin as used as set decoration in the film, The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The making and using of the pirate treasure is discussed at length in the behind the scenes bonus footage, The Making of an Epic at Sea. This can be seen on YouTube. About twelve minutes in Larry Dias, Set Decorator, discusses the treasure cave as well as Derek R. Hill, Supervising Art Director, who talks specifically about the coins that they dump in the treasure room. They also discuss the rocks that they painted to look like gold nuggets for which we also occasionally sell. Photos included here are screen captured from this behind the scenes video. This particular coin is considerably more rare than the standard aluminum versions found in dark orange gold and light gold. This true gold color looking heavy metal solid coin is at least an estimated 1 to 25 in quantity vs the lightweight aluminum coins (our rough visual estimate, not guaranteed). Photo is an example of the kind of coin you will receive but not the exact one. Item comes beautifully displayed in an acrylic stand featuring EITHER some of the main cast from the film OR Johnny Depp. Please send us a message at time of purchase as to which frame you want. Also comes with one of our beautifully designed and custom made Certificate of Authenticity Cards. We also have a letter of authenticity detailing how we acquired all of our assets at the Logos Theatre if interested. Please request the letter if desired. Not included otherwise.
